Nursery Pillow

I am constantly striving to find new and interesting fabrics to try all these projects roaming in my brain. I always tell my husband I have so many ideas and never enough time to make them. Well.. this was a project lurking in my design book for some time now and I am so excited to finally see it brought to life. I will be doing a whole line of these modern nursery pillows. I wanted to do them all at once; however, once this first one was completed, I just couldn't wait to get it in my shop. I hope you love the way it turned out as much as I love it! I have to share a shopping blog that I am totally addicted to. I only became privy to it when I had some of my products featured on this blog. Once I saw it, I was totally hooked!! It's called Cuteable. If you want a fun bit of inspiration sent your way subscribe to this blog, you won't be dissapointed. Sion Lee is the man who runs it - and yes... if you ever read cuteable you will find this fact that he is a "man" quite shocking! I guess I always assume if you have superb taste, you must be a girl, so I was shocked to learn that "she" was actually a "he." Vinyl Critters!

I guess you could say my daughter is becoming quite spoiled. Now, that I am adding all these new products to my shop I always make sure to set one aside for her. Not only to have my built in product tester, but often when a new shipment arrives she immediately thinks it's something for her. So needless to say both of us were screaming with joy when the shipment of vinyl critters showed up! I have to give Stephanie (the creator and artists) a huge shout - out! I am so in love with these critters I honestly stole my daughters from her. Maybe it's the vinyl - it's so flexible and soft - I was pretty surprised by this fact. Or... it could be the smell of the vinyl; maybe it reminded me of my dad's old el Camino. If you are reading this and saying to your self "what the heck is an el Camino" you are seriously going to make me feel old - so just play along!
Anyways, back to my product tester - a.k.a. my daughter. She immediately grabs the pink giraffe (which she has now adopted as her own)... and made him walk across the floor. She then started making this elephant noise (I'm still am not sure if she knows the difference between a giraffe and an elephant - or it could be that mommy can't quite distinguish the noises either). It was so darn cute I went to grab my camera. Unfortunately my batteries were dead and I missed that Kodak moment. Long story short I am screaming with joy to share these vinyl critters with you. Grand Re-Opening!

I am so excited to be back open! It has been a busy month for me finalizing our fall collection and building our new and improved website. I would love to hear feedback - I'm not a website designer by any means so this was a big undertaking for me! I learned a lot though and I am so glad I ventured down that path.

Before I highlight some items in my fall collection I want to send much thanks to all the wonderful comments and support I have received from so many of my customers! You guys rock!

So we have a ton of new stuff... but I wanted to highlight a few special items here. These are all limited editions. Only one is available in each size in each color combo - so if you see something you like I suggest you buy it now. Once they are sold, no more will be made. I hope you like them as much as I do - these were by far the most fun I had sewing my fall collection.

I also made this sweet tote for my daughter who just celebrated her second birthday. It turned out so cute, I decided to make 3 more to sell in my shop. Once these are sold - no more will be made.

Finally, I have made the decision to expand my website and start carrying some fabulous Handmade Items from other wonderful designers. I am choosing items that I had bought for my daughter, that I feel are unique, well made, and stand the torture of a 2 year old! Here is the latest addition - but I have a lot more coming!

I am completely caught up on my orders and busily preparing my fall collection to be released the second week of September. I have to share a little story! I have a wonderful friend name Ruby. We actually met in a mom's playgroup almost 2 years ago. Life has lead us to different parts of the country, but we still stay in touch. She has been successfully selling jewelry in person to various outlets and I have to say her products are STUNNING!!! I have the best customers EVER!

So I know I have said this before, but I have the best customers ever. I feel so priviledge to have met so many wonderful and equally talented people through my shop. One person in particular has really become a friend even though we haven't ever met in person. She is so genuinely sweet and generous I just have to send out hugs via my blog!!! Amber - you rock!!!
