New Graphic T-shirts!

I expect to be completed with all my big orders by Monday. Yeah!!! I have already been focusing on my new fall collection and can't wait to get it in my shop. I hate to say though that it won't be until September! I have a vacation/family reunion coming up in about two weeks and will be taking this time to catch up on some housework, organize my studio, and make lots of cool stuff for my fall collection. I do have a fabulous announcement though!!!

I started doing some graphic t-shirt designing. I honestly have so many ideas that flow through my head and never enough time to bring them to life via my current medium of applique; so this will be a fabulous outlet. You can currently purchase my graphic t-shirts through my second Lemons and Lollis shop; however, I will be adding these to my main shop by September. I have a lot more designs to come so please check back often!

Lemons and Lollis featured in Charleston Magazine July 2007 Issue

I am delighted to announce that Charleston Magazine featured Lemons and Lollis surfer boy onesie! It's my first official press - so exciting!! Thanks to the gals at Mom Spa for saving a copy for me and doing so much more! I'll be blogging about that soon! So check it out!!!

Custom Work!

So I just finished a custom collection for the nicest lady. This set was made to coordinate with her daughters ballet class. I absolutely adore how this collection turned out. I will definitely need to repeat it in other fabrics (the ones in the pictures are the ones the customer sent to me - :( - they were so cute!!! Anyways.. Here are the pics - and no - they aren't for sale in my shop - I'll have to find that special fabric I can remake these appliques in.

New Kid on the Block Collection

I absolutely love Japanese fabric. They have the best designers - and unfortunately it cost a fortune to import it from Japan. BUT... I couldn't resist! I had to make something out of this fabulous house fabric I found. I call this my "New Kid on the Block" collection - and no - I am not celebrating the band from the 1990's! Lemons and Lollis featured in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine

So... I just got off the phone with the Editor of Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine! I had received an email from them earlier today inquiring about featuring my store in their October issue!!! I am so utterly thrilled right now! They specifically want to feature my Urban Chicks Collection. Which is personally one of my favorites!! So I am currently calling everyone I know and sharing this incredible news!! I can't wait to see the article! How lucky am I!

We're Goin' BANANAS!!

My daughter loves the monkeys at the zoo! They are by far her most favorite animal and she can watch them for minutes! Which considering she is almost 2 - that is a LONG attention span! We moved from San Antonio about 6 months ago to Savannah. San Antonio had the best zoo - we had an annual pass and only lived about 25 minutes from the zoo. So trips were weekly! Unfortunately their is no zoo in Savannah and the closest zoo is Jacksonville, Florida - about a 2 hour drive from our house. So needless to say we are missing the monkeys!!! We don't get down to Jacksonville as often as our trips in Savannah - so I decided to bring the monkeys to us! Presenting our "Goin' Banana's" Collection!! A fun gender neutral collection - great for any little monkey! I love this set - simple, funky and the little bum patch just threw it over the edge!!! Japanese Fabric Imported

I am so excited!! I absolutely love Japanese fabric - I have wanted to use it in my shop for sometime now - but as pricey as it is - I haven't been able to work it in - without breaking the bank - or charging a fortune!!! Well.. I finally got a great idea where I can incorporate it and get my customers some fabulous japanese prints - that won't break the bank! These are two coming to me as we speak all the way from JAPAN! Yipee!!! I'll guess you will just have to wait and see what creations come of it - TRUST me - you will want to see these- The ideas are just flowing!!! I can't wait!

WILD CHILD handmade Onesie, BIB, Burp Cloth, Barrettes

I say this all the time - but everytime I make a new creation - I SWEAR it is my favorite... and this one is no exception. I call it my WILD CHILD. Which would have been perfect for my little baby girl - as she was just that. Keeping her Daddy and I up till all hours of the night. Her days and nights were mixed up for what seemed to be an eternity! Thankfully mommy won the battle (still fighting the war) and she sleeps through the night! My husband is already asking for baby number 2 - how quickly he forgets - eh? Personally I don't think I am ready for all those sleepless nights again! They are still fresh in my memory! Penny the Peacock needs a home!

I know I always say this, but I love my newest creation! I call her Penny the Peacock. She is part of an entire collection for some wonderful little baby! She was made from Heather Bailey fabrics (she is probably the newest designer to join the Free Spirit fabric line) - I love her stuff! I have some more coming from her fabric collection - so check back often. Do you know someone who can adopt Penny for me!! Please Help!

Grandmas Sewing Machine

I LOVE my NEW sewing machine... We'll it's really my Grandma's sewing machine. You know the one she sewed all my quilts, sleeping bags and dresses on. This machine is the BOMB! It is a viking and comes with these Cams - I hope I spelled that right! Anyways... you can choose all these designer stitches... I absolutely love the sweet little scallops, but I am sure I will find uses for all the other stitches. This is my latest creation - fully utilizing the cute stitches I can do with my new machine - Grandma would be proud!

Etsy treasury FRONT PAGE!

WOW.... WOW.... - can I say WOW??? I made it on the front page of ETSY for the first time! Not only that but two of my items were in the treasury listing! The sad part is - I totally missed it. I have been working on my blog - well more like "tearing my hair out" over my blog over the last two days. I know it doesn't show it, but learning html code isn't as easy as it may appear. Especially when we are talking about a total computer illiterate human being (yep, believe it or not - I am a very slow learned... computer tech! - LOL - I am using the word tech very liberally)... Anyways... So back to my bragging!!! I am so ecstatic! Check out the treasury before it dissappears (it is no longer on the front page - (this is me with tears running down my face)... but it is a great kids list anyways... As always - I have some great fabric from MODA - called urban chicks - It was on backorder for 3 months - and I finally got it - so keep your eye out for some great new creations!! You will love this stuff!!

Wow.... I am utterly thrilled. I was just notified that Smitherman and Barnwell, a very posh designer kids clothing company, is featuring my store in their Designer Scoop magazines May issue!!
