Couture Hair Candy Collection

I am so excited to introduce my latest collection. I call it my Couture Hair Candy line. Every little peice handcut, handsewn by myself. I've included sparkly touches such as sequence and glass beads. I hope you can appreciate the details in these pictures. I think they look so much cuter in person, and I really tried to take the best pictures I could. Argh... but I'm no photographer and I do get easily frustrated.

Anyways... if you feel like you haven't heard from me in a while it's probably because it's true! I've been a little out of the game lately due to my recent pregnancy, but now well into the 2nd trimester I felt my energy spike and my nesting instinct has kicked right in. This new line is the result of all those nesting instincts. I hope you love how they turned out as much as I have enjoyed working on them. Thanks again to all my supporters out there. I now have 135 blogger subscribers which personally I feel is quite the accomplishment considering my little place in this world. I'm so blessed to have all that love out there. Here's to you! Cheers!

Newest Baby Collection FAWN OVER ME

Our newest addition to our shop entitled "Fawn over me". This sweet collection features our original artwork in beautiful shades of teal, raspberry and lime. Have you ever wondered when someone walks past your baby and doesn't "ooh... and ahh"? Well... this collection is sure to grab their attention and say "HEY YOU, fawn over me!" Our image of our little fawn and references to "baby Deer (Dear)" and "Doe a Deer" add to the whimsical feel of this layette. PLUS... we are adding coordinating baby slippers to match. We are finalizing the pattern still, but these are turning out super cute! Get a sneak peek here with one of our "OOPS" booties. We have to make a few oops to perfect the pattern, sizing, and sewing issues before we will release these to our wonderful customers! Enjoy, and please let me know what you think! I'm dieing to hear feedback on this set.

Cuteable Feature!

It's called Cuteable. If you want a fun bit of inspiration sent your way subscribe to this blog, you won't be dissapointed. Sion Lee is the man who runs it - and yes... if you ever read cuteable you will find this fact that he is a "man" quite shocking! You can read a fabulous interview of Sion on "this rocks my socks" blog. Not only does he find interesting products, but he also runs indiepublic and has his own shop full of fabulous art ubiki.

Check this out!!!

I have to share a little story! I have a wonderful friend name Ruby. We actually met in a mom's playgroup almost 2 years ago. Life has lead us to different parts of the country, but we still stay in touch. She has been successfully selling jewelry in person to various outlets and I have to say her products are STUNNING!!! Due to some probing and pushing from me and others we have convinced her to open up her own online shop! She uses only the finest gemstones and sterling silver. Her products are meant to last a lifetime. Here are some of my favorites.

She is running a "SUMMER BLOWOUT" Sale until August 17th and has all of her products are marked 20% off!! This is the time to give her products a try - trust me - You won't be dissapointed! Plus they already come packaged for gift giving! Do you have a birthday coming up for someone special! Please help support handmade - buy shopping Etsy and Crystal Kitten Jewelry!

Cheers!

Amy Butler new NIGELLA Fabrics are COMING!!!

***NEW FABRICS COMING!!*****

I am happy to say my new "Eeva Dress" has been a big hit. I started this collection in the designer fabrics from Joel Dewberry. He just hit the scene and his fabrics are incredible. Due to the overwhelming response I will be adding more fabrics for this new design - plus I will be doing some jackets for upcoming fall and winter.

Amy Butler has been a favorite fabric designer for years now. I have personally made a few quilts from her fabrics alone. Her stuff is modern and eclectic with a bit of traditional. I LOVE IT!!! She just released a new line called "nigella". It is absolutely stunning!! I will be adding to my "eeva dress" line with three more dresses from Amy Butler fabrics. Two dresses will feature her new "nigella" line and a third from her classic "belle" collection. Unfortunately some of these fabrics are on back order - so it is hard to say when these will be available in my shop. If you would like to be notified when the dresses are available for sale. Please subscribe to this blog (see the column to the right) to receive updates!

Thanks - and as always - please support fellow artists by shopping handmade - ONLY on ETSY!

Joel Dewberry comments on Lemons and Lollis products!

So... I tried something I never did before and actually sent an email to the fabric designer with links to my creations. I honestly figured I wouldn't get a response - especially considering this guy just released the most beautiful line and I figured he would have emails coming out the wazoo!! To my surprise I got the sweetest email back from JOEL DEWBERRY and it was within 24 hours of me sending my email!! WOW... I was so excited I had to share it here. Here is what he said:

Corina,I was delighted to see your recent creations! To be honest, I came across your EEVAA dress on my own yesterday prior to your email. I try to make a habit of going online, a couple of times a week, to research what is happening with my fabric. What a happy surprise to begin seeing my fabric designs show up on such beautiful projects. It is very rewarding as a fabric designer to see other talented designers like yourself get excited and use my fabric. Thank you. I wish you the best of luck and hope your store is a success.

Toddler Dresses!!! YIPEE!

I have been "chomping' at the bit" (who says that anyways)... to make toddler dresses - partly because my little sweet pea can't wear my creations anymore - she is growing like a weed!!! Plus.. I wanted to create lines that wouldn't leave big sis out. My goal is to have a baby collection and a coordinating toddler girl collection. That way when the new baby is born - big sis can get a little surprise too!!!

When I came across Joel Dewberry's new collection - I knew this was it! I am so pleased with how this dress turned out. It's simple and classic design will make it timeless. It is extremely well constructed with surged seams that are completely encased in the dress - making it a great hand-me-down dress lasting lifetimes. It is reversible giving you two designer looks in one. Plus it is roomy enough you can layer it over a simple white t-shirt and jeans as the seasons begin to change giving your little girl that bohemian chic look! Finally, the cherry on top, I will use it as a cover-up. My daughters latest trick is dribbling her drink down her chin and onto whatever clothes she happens to be wearing. So... I'll keep one in my bag and when we are out shopping and we need a quick wardrobe change - I can throw it over her clothes and we are off!!!

I call it my eeva dress - named after my sweet pea - see more at lemonsandlollis.com

New Kid on the Block Collection

I absolutely love Japanese fabric. They have the best designers - and unfortunately it cost a fortune to import it from Japan. BUT... I couldn't resist! I had to make something out of this fabulous house fabric I found. I call this my "New Kid on the Block" collection - and no - I am not celebrating the band from the 1990's! This is a great gender neutral collection in some of my favorite colors chocolate and turquoise! Check it out at http://www.lemonsandlollis.com/

So... I just got off the phone with the Editor of Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine! I had received an email from them earlier today inquiring about featuring my store in their October issue!!! I am so utterly thrilled right now! They specifically want to feature my Urban Chicks Collection. Which is personally one of my favorites!! So I am currently calling everyone I know and sharing this incredible news!! I can't wait to see the article! How lucky am I!
